A Matter of Balance is a program designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels among older adults. It includes 8 two-hour sessions for a small group of 8-12 participants led by a trained facilitator. This nationally recognized program was developed at the Roybal Center at Boston University.

In Stepping On workshops, we take fall prevention step-by-step. You'll learn how to build and maintain the physical strength and balance you need to walk confidently.  From footwear to prescriptions, you'll learn what increases your risk of a fall, how to avoid it,  and make an individualized action plan to stay on your feet and living life the way you want.

Older Adult Driver Safety

Older drivers are often the safest drivers in that they are more likely to wear their seatbelts, and less likely to speed or drink and drive. However, older drivers are more likely to be killed or seriously injured when a crash does occur due to the greater fragility of their aging bodies. (Source: NHTSA)

Driver safety programs improve adult driver safety by addressing cognitive abilities and skills, however, older drivers can also improve their safety by ensuring their cars are properly adjusted for them. A proper fit in one's car can greatly increase not only the driver's safety but also the safety of others.
